Why Businesses Choose Thrive Inventory Product Information Management

Ethereal Gold was born out of a need to provide higher-quality cannabis. Education around cannabis testing and building trust with shoppers led to a quick expansion. Ethereal Gold now has an e-commerce store, storefront, and multiple self-serve kiosks around Waukesha, WI.
Their first inventory management system couldn’t handle their starting 200 SKUs. With the majority of their products labeled with expiration dates, having inventory management they could trust was essential for scaling the business.
“Prior to Thrive Inventory, we wouldn’t have been able to keep up with the growth. We went from 200 SKUs prior to Thrive Inventory, and we’re up to over 2,000 something. Plus, we’ve grown in volume 8 times since January 2023. With the old system, we would have gotten run over by a train.”

FAQs
Can I bulk upload and edit products into Thrive Inventory?
Yes. Bulk Uploads are used for mass catalog updates, changes, or additions via a Google Sheets spreadsheet.
Add or edit products and variants to your catalog. Choose to include categories, description, SKU, barcode, active or inactive status, vendors, vendor SKU, and quantity. Price, default cost, reorder point, and reorder target can be set for the entire product or made location-specific.
Bulk Uploads are included in Standard and up plans.
How frequently does Thrive Inventory sync product information with connected sales channels?
When you add a new product or make an update to your catalog, such as price, product description, or location availability, the update is reflected in your sales channels (Clover, Square, Shopify, BigCommerce, or WooCommerce) within 2-3 minutes on average.
What type of reports are available to show product performance by channel or location?
We currently offer an Inventory by Location report which shows the Total Value, Potential Revenue, Potential Profit, and Quantity in Stock for each location and sales channel with one quick report.
This report is ideal for a quick health check on where your inventory levels are and easily compares across locations. Learn more about Thrive Inventory’s Reporting feature set here.
Does Thrive Inventory provide audit logs or history tracking for catalog updates and changes?
Yes. Thrive Inventory provides an audit log for a running history of actions taken in the app. When changes are made to your catalog, spreadsheets are uploaded, or your settings are edited, Thrive Inventory will record the time it happened, the user who made the change, and the action.
You can view product-specific entries directly on the Product Details page that record any edits and updates made to the product, what time they were made, and by whom.
Can access to catalog management features be restricted by permission level?
Yes. The Thrive Inventory account owner can assign or revoke product management access to make edits to products, prices, inventory quantities, etc. The product cost and profit margins can also be hidden from users.
How does Thrive Inventory handle price variations for the same product across different channels and locations?
You can set integration-specific prices on the Product Details page for most multi-channel setups. For example, you can set different prices for your Clover POS and your Shopify e-commerce website for the same product.
You can also set location-specific prices on the Product Details page, with the exception of multi-location Shopify accounts. For example, you can set different prices for your downtown location and your location in the suburbs for the same product.
Additionally, you can set different prices on products available to your wholesale customers.
