Why Businesses Choose Thrive Inventory Product Bundles

Matt Kellso, founder and owner of Sagebrush Coffee has long been obsessed with coffee. In fact, he used to eat coffee beans like candy as a kid. And years later, Matt still couldn’t stay away.
In 2012, Matt’s passion for coffee finally turned into a career with an e-commerce store. After struggling to break into the market of a good cup of coffee at a Starbucks price point, he pivoted to bringing the best coffee possible to people’s homes.
“Thrive Inventory is an exceptional piece of software. We track our inventory, products, and bundles across several channels and get just the right reporting to be able to buy right.
Good inventory management is vital for a business to be profitable and we wouldn't be there without Thrive Inventory. Their customer support is outstanding too!”
- MATT, SAGEBRUSH COFFEE

FAQs
What are bundles?
Product bundles consist of multiple components combined to form a new offering. Pure bundling is when multiple products are sold exclusively as a package deal and can’t be purchased individually. Meanwhile, mixed bundling gives customers the option to buy products individually or grouped together.
There is also price bundling. With this approach, products are sold together at a lower price than if custbb omers bought each item separately.
How does Thrive Inventory handle real-time stock deductions for Bundles sold across multiple sales channels?
When a Bundle is sold, the Bundle inventory and individual component inventory will be reflected in your sales channels (Clover, Square, Shopify, BigCommerce, or WooCommerce) within 2-3 minutes on average.
To deduct component inventory levels at the time of creation, check out our Bill of Materials and Recipes features.
How easy is it to create and edit Bundles with Thrive Inventory?
Setting up Bundles does take some upfront work and it is recommended that you do it during your free 30-day trial. While it takes some time, the process is quite simple. You’ll assign individual products or variants in your catalog to the Bundle and determine how much to deduct each time the Bundle is sold.
To take Bundle creation off your team’s plate, talk to Thrive’s Professional Service team and let us take care of it for you.
What reports are available for bundled products?
Thrive Inventory has a number of pre-built reports to provide visibility into your Bundle’s performance and stock counts.
The Bundle report shows all the current Bundles, their components, and the amount that will be deducted for each sale.
The Product Sales report will show the sale of the Bundle. Components deducted because of the sale will not show up on this report. The cost shown will be automatically calculated based on the current lot cost of that Bundle’s components at the time of sale.
The Vendor Sales report will show the sale of the Bundle and which vendor was assigned to it.
The Inventory Change report shows the change in the quantities of the components. Use the “Filters” button to show only Bundles.
